The famous 12 Apostles The famous 12 Apostles Loch Ard Gorge and one of its coves London Bridge Typical cliff on the G.O.R. View of Melbourne

The following day, we see the most impressive part of the coast, namely the 12 Apostles, a series of rocky peaks detached from the cliffs. As the sea digs its way into the cliffs and formed arches or holes in them, it offers an impressive contrast of colours. After these sites, I come back to Melbourne, where I spend an hour visiting the center until the Yarra River, before boarding a night bus. A bad surprise awaits me as I learn that the bus will arrive 5 minutes after the shuttle to Kangaroo Island. There is no way of negotiating on the phone, so I just keep my fingers crossed and wait until the end of the movie to speak to the driver. He reassures me about the connection. At 6:30 in the morning, Adelaide is still not in view - I have slept well and trust the driver, but I hesitate a moment as the shuttle leaves in a quarter of an hour. Fortunately, there is a 30 minute time difference with South Australia, so I arrive just in time...
